5 Stages of Redemption

Redemption has many synonymous words… deliverance, salvation, recovery, reclamation – And I just think in this celebration of resurrection, I like to use the word REDEMPTION.
Redemption reminds me of the cost… the payment. The trade if you will. QIUD pro QUO
NO, that took a sacrifice we could never afford… NO, we would never have enough redeeming power to appease the debt we owed. This took a heavenly gift, a heavenly spotless offering. Precious… ONE OF A KIND…
WHY? Because the debt of sin needed to be paid to God… some forget the cross was not a payment to Satan, it was for the redemption of man relationship with His Creator.
The prince of darkness thought He finally damned the human race forever when they hung the Lamb on the cursed tree. The ONLY BEGOTTEN was finally defeated.
BUT the reality was revealed when all of creation (seen and unseen) witnessed the TRUE VICTORY in the redeeming power of the offering laid before the foundations of the world. Man’s debt to GOD the FATHER was canceled in the purchase of the LAMB. The free will offering from the SON of GOD/SON of MAN… His own life.
The 5 stages of REDEMPTION that the FATHER and SON transacted between themselves went in this order… and notice though the payment is complete the agreement still has conditions:
1. PROVISION THROUGH HIS CONSECRATION
Phil. 2:7 – 8
2. EMANCIPATION BY HIS EXECUTION:
Isaiah 53:4 – 5
3. INAUGURATION IN HIS RESURRECTION
1 Cor. 15:1 – 4
NOW, since the price was paid, and the relationship between God and man restored… we are called to give ourselves freely because there are no other opponents that can break the agreement…
4. RESTORATION THROUGH OUR DEDICATION:
ROMANS 8:28
And finally, the last stage of the REDEMPTION has been placed in the hands of the children of God. We were not only bought with a price, we have also been made heirs with our Redeemer. That is why we must daily distinguish ourselves as HIS people by following in His light by the leading of the Holy SPIRIT.
5. DISTINCTION WITH GLORY’S REVELATION
Hebrews 12: 1- 3 and 1 Peter 2: 9 – 10
